“Getting acquainted with Abdurrahman Öztoprak, one of the leading artists of Turkish abstract art, has been a milestone in the development of our collection which we humbly began in the 1980’s” write the Elgiz Family in the foreword to the book which was meant as a celebration for the artists’ 85th birthday “but which, following his sudden death, has transformed into a commemoration.”

The format of the book, the layout, both text and display typefaces follow the vertical character of the paintings…
… so do vertically stacked plate numbers.
Essays by Drs Hoffmann, Heynen, Fuso, Urbani, Sönmez and Eroğlu. Published by the Elgiz Museum in two languages in the same edition and printed by Mas Matbaa in 2012.
