When Seta Hidiş passed away, one of her students brought us together with the idea of creating a book to commemorate her.
The first step was to document all the work that we were able to access.
The second step was contacting her students for their observations and reminiscences.
The third step was gathering this content into a single text. Failing in this last step, the print-run had to be limited and the book distributed only among us because of the informal “tone” of the student contributions.
The book includes essays written by Haşim Nur Gürel and Dr Zeynep Yasa Yaman.

The display font has an affinity with the edges of torn paper that we see in the collages and that are repeated in the oil paintings. The font also hints at magazines characterized by heavy and uneven printing
that we would see at Seta’s studio.
