Erhun Şerbetçi

The otolaryngologist Erhun Şerbetçi was interested in documenting little-known Byzantine traces of the city. He manipulated these images to obtain large-scale symmetrical photographs. His photographs were exhibited at Khas Gallery, which itself occupies the land above a Byzantine cistern.

It is our sorrow that we lost Dr Şerbetçi soon after. The book that was planned to follow this catalogue remained at proofing stage.
